Okay you have a week to come up with a piece of MFU fic using today's prompt!

Statistical stuff for the challenge: Postings are due on Tuesday June 24th, but post no later than midnight. If you can't make the deadline then post on the following Tuesday following the usual requirements: minimum 500 words, with no set maximum. (no drabbles)

Subject matter should fit into the General concepts of this community, i.e. contain nothing explicit and reflect the 1960s series in style and content. However, there is a Gen-Mature tag option - use this to indicate a story that contains scenes of violence, torture, angst or very mild het. (again nothing graphic or explicit) Please remember to use the tag "Picfic" as well.

Include in your Subject Header the phrase: "For the Picfic Tuesday Challenge", the due date, and of course the title of your story! If you can't make the postiing deadline, then publish your picfic the following Tuesday, as that's the day readers look for the stories!!

And now here's a rather sparkling prompt. Hope you're inspired? 500 words isn't a lot, so give it a try!

At the suggestion of our own mrua7, I'm going to start posting the letters that make up this story (WIP, current count at 72 letters) here on Mondays & Fridays if there are no objections.

The letters encompass the years 1912 thru 1918 and are mainly between Alexander Waverly (20 in 1912) and Millicent Kildare (12 in 1912 and the eventual Mrs. Waverly in my MFU stories), though letters to/from others eventually feature in as well.

All that being said, the first letter follows:
