The World Is A Treacherous Place...
Jul. 21st, 2014 08:45 amIt's impossible to not be aware of what is going on in the world right now, our vision is bombarded with images while words describe the scenes.
We belong to a group of people who have embraced a show that featured an American and a Russian as its lead characters, at a time when the world was at odds and separated by the disparate ideologies of the Cold War.
We at Section VII still stand behind that partnership, still believe that the bond between individuals is a greater force than the machinations of a government, regardless of the show of force. The partnership of Solo and Kuryakin represents a unity that transcends borders, encompasses the soul and in the end triumphs over its opposition.
Why? Because governments will fall, leaders will fade into history. The stories of heroism and brotherhood will prevail, and will inspire anew those who might otherwise faint from exhaustion and disillusionment.
This world of MFU may be imaginary, a figment of our fantasies; it is, nonetheless, an idealism that we can embrace and endorse across borders that we cannot see.
As MFU turns 50, it is clearly evident that their services are still needed.

NO PICFIC PROMPT THIS WEEK
Jul. 21st, 2014 09:09 amHi all! I've decided not to post a prompt this week, taking a brief hiatus to work on the mini-bang as the summaries and first drafts will be coming due sooner than we think.
So next week there won't be a story to post on Tuesday, but on Monday PicFic will return to its regularly scheduled programming and a prompt will be posted on July 28th with the story due on August 4th. OMG??? August already? Time is flying! (I think I got that date right for posting? Our Calendar girl Lindafishes8 will post the schedule)
However.... on July 28th, feel free to post a story based on a previous PicFic prompt that you missed but wanted to do. Perfect opportunity. Think of it as open posting. Go back and look through all the old Monday prompts and pick one!
Go ahead...what are you waiting for? You have a whole week to write a story....minimum 500 words. Piece o' cake!
