My apologies, but I didn't have anything in my archives that I thought really fit here, so with your indulgence, I'm going to post a seven part Halloween tale featuring the gang.  And so, without further ado :
Abandon hope all ye who enter )

This was the third story I ever wrote for the MFU way back when, and it took on a spooky tone. Perfect for Halloween. Hope you enjoy it! BOO!

lllya Kuryakin completed his apprenticeship in Europe under the watchful eye of Harry Beldon, building his skills and experience with U.N.C.L.E. as a a section two field agent, but also using his scientific skills in the Section IV labs. Harry Beldon though decadent his his lifestyle and habits had an amazingly keen mind, and took full advantage of Kuryakin's skills in research and development. He developed quite a few useful tools for himself and for the agency while working there and enjoyed it doing it as it was something he was never permitted to engage in  while working for the GRU.

Napoleon pulled out his communicator while he remained hidden behind a lush palm tree in an alcove beside the hotel elevator.

"Open Channel D, Waverly," he spoke softly into the pen.

.

"Good morning Mr. Solo...enjoying the wintry landscape?" Answered Alexander Waverly.

“The Old Man didn't miss a thing,” Solo thought.” So you're aware of our delay then sir?"

"Yes Mr. Solo. I hear record snowfalls are predicted. Yes, quite troublesome and annoying, as I have another assignment awaiting your attention. As soon as the storm is over and travel resumes, please return to headquarters immediately. You and Mr. Kuryakin enjoy the respite, as I expect you may be snowbound for several days. Waverly out."

Napoleon banged on the door several times before it finally opened. The two agents rushed inside just as some other people stuck their heads out of their rooms to see what the disturbance was.

They found the sister's huddled together in a corner of their room, dressed in their nightgowns and robes. There beds were facing each other end to end and their suitcases were stacked neatly on the beds.

They quickly ducked their weapons out of sight as they saw the women were unharmed.

"Oh my God!" Cried Jennifer as she ran to Napoleon's arms."I swear! We didn't do this! We just went into the bathroom to wash up and when we came out the beds...they were like this! Both the women were obviously shaken." Can we go to your room? We don't want to stay in this room. Please?" Begged Jennifer, "Yes, please?" Margaret pleaded as well.

Napoleon looked at Illya, who only shrugged.

She Waits

she waits [smaller]

She Waits

She waits up there, in the level four corridor,
The one in the rear of the complex
That is less trafficked and dead ended;
The one the secretaries try to avoid.

The story goes she was once one of them
Cheerful and pretty,
A footloose career girl
Opening Channel D.
Until she fell in love with a field agent,
Who was young and charming,
But took risks, too many.

That was not unusual,
These things happen, as they say,
They happen all the time,
But not like this.

Because he loved her back,
Of that she was certain,
And wanted to marry
Before it was forbidden to do so.
And there was a ring, a big one,
And a gown and a church,
And a date set.

But somewhere in Madagascar,
His mission went wrong
And he never came back,
Leaving her at the church
With the ring
And the gown,
Waiting.

She couldn’t handle the grief, they say,
And she lingered for a bit,
Forlorn and abandoned
Until she found his stash of C4,
And hugged it tight.
It blew out her heart —
Literally.

So now she’s up there,
Heartless and waiting,
Waiting for another field agent
To not come back.
Is she waiting for you?
Open Channel D . . .

I haven’t been writing this fandom for long, so I have nothing to repost or link to. Instead, I hope you’ll forgive me posting this brand new quintuple (almost) drabble.

“Hey chum, are you coming to the commissary for the party?”

Illya turned from the filing cabinet to his partner and shook his head.

“No thank you,” he replied. “I have a headache starting and I could really do without the noise of a Hallowe’en party.”
