Hello and welcome to this week’s prompts. I’m sure you can easily produce something from the words on offer this time around. Without wishing to sway anyone’s ideas, both words seem to suggest ‘Illya’ to me, but of course, you can do whatever you like with them (within the rules of the challenge).

As always, the prompts and rules are under the cut.

Have fun.

Hello, I'm filling in for [livejournal.com profile] mrua7 who is experiencing some technical difficulties.  Hopefully she'll be back online by this afternoon.
The photo should provide all sorts of angst and drama, so I will be looking forward to the various ways in which a dark and cloudy scene can fit into an MFU story.
Gen friendly, 500 word minimum... posting is next Tuesday, January 20th.

Title:  Roughing it

Word count: Approx. 630

A dark haired man squatted, resting on his haunches while he studied the setting Sonoran desert sun.  He rose as the yellow and oranges faded to pink, and finally purple; the few clouds disappeared, giving way to the clear deep blue night sky.

Everything was peaceful, not a sound could be heard other than the snap and crackle of the campfire burning behind him.

Being far enough from civilization; he could see every star shining above him; sparkling crystal clear.

It wasn’t often Napoleon Solo found himself outside in the middle of nowhere and not being pursued by someone, and so for a change he let the serenity of the moment fill him. Communing with nature wasn’t half bad, though he still preferred a first class hotel with room service.

A rustling sound called the agent from his reverie and he automatically drew his weapon, aiming it in the direction of the noise.

“Illya?”

Prompts – Outside/Purple
Word Count (approx.) – 620

Outside the compound, the people of the town went about their business, unaware of what was happening within. Outside the main buildings of the compound, several guards ensured that the people of the town wouldn’t learn what, or who, was inside. Outside the cell block, deep in the basement, a guard ignored the yells of pain which echoed through the corridors. At least, he tried to. On the outside, the guard looked calm and unconcerned about the sounds. In his heart, however, Illya Kuryakin felt a rage he was finding it hard to control.
