Napoleon was eyeing his partner's most recent female.

"I must admit Illya, she's the prettiest one yet.  Still not my thing though, no offense."

The blond smiled, blue eyes taking in the elegant profile of this exotic beauty.

"None taken, we needn't all have the same proclivities.  I am as much the object of her affection as she is mine.  I was simply …  captured by her.' He sighed involuntarily as he considered the next steps he must take.

"I really had no choice, it was all hers."

Napoleon wrinkled his nose at that.

"So what now?"

"I feed her."

Napoleon I simply do not understand you and women. You live your life strolling from one to another without a second thought.  You bed women like...I do not know, like...”

Solo finished the sentence, “like there’s no tomorrow?”

“Yes, that what it seems like.”

“It’s the way I feel, like there’ll be no tomorrow; not that I hope it’ll come true. I do my utmost to make sure there will be a tomorrow not just for me but the rest of the world.”

“That sounds awfully fatalistic with a tinge of optimism on the side. The cynical outlook is more my style not yours.”

“Hey, nobody’s perfect tovarisch.”

“That’s it, no more!” stated Napoleon, as he stood up and strode to the drinks cabinet. “It’s getting beyond a joke now.”

“Calm down my friend,” his partner soothed. “It cannot be helped. You will simply have to accept things as they are.”

“How is it even possible?” Solo continued. “Tell me that.”

“I am sorry, I have no explanation.”

Napoleon glared at the innocent face of the blond.

“It was bad enough when you, the communist, beat me at Monopoly. But, to defeat me at Scrabble, when English isn’t your first language, is just rubbing salt in the wound.”
