The little siamese kitten was sitting on the stoop to Illya's apartment building. It appeared to be well fed, and clean. Bravely holding his place, the small creature seemed unimpressed by the man, and continued to complain to this stranger about his predicament.

"Kem vy sebya otnosite?" Illya asked the question, flattering the kitten with a feigned expectation of being told to whom it belonged.

'Mrrroww...mrrrowww'
It answered in a tone that indicated to Illya that he should understand what the mewing meant. Perhaps it wouldn't hurt to give it something to eat.

''Vy golodny malyshka?'' Illya reckoned that the little one might be hungry. Surely none of his neighbors would have left this tiny kitten here to fend for itself on the street.

'Marrrrrooowww'
"Da"

Knowing that he would most likely regret doing so, he picked up the little beige kitten and carried it up to his apartment, figuring he could keep it for one night and then find a suitable home for it at work the next day. An enforcement agent didn't need a menagerie of animals waiting while he traipsed off on long assignments.

No doubt one of the secretaries would be willing to take home a blond, even if it was a Siamese and not a Russian.

ON THE PROWL:

The piano player at the Cat's Meow Club was tickling the ivory with abandon, beside him on the small stage, was a musician with a base viol joining the jazz riffs with enthusiasm, their combined talents were punctuated by the rhythmic stylings of a talented drummer, a madman named Buddy Rich.

Illya Kuryakin was sitting in the dark corner, dressed in his usual black suit and turtleneck, and sporting a pair of dark glasses as he tried to remain anonymous. He sipped a cup of cappuccino, nodding his head slightly in time with the beat of the music.

The Russian was in a rare mood, randy actually, though it was not his way to just go out and pick up a woman to satisfy his urges.

  The Sequel:

 "Cat Noir":

The day was cheerless, the trees void of their leaves that had fallen to the ground, and were being blown into little vortexes by a chill wind. The dreariness told the tale that winter would soon be upon us in New York City.

As I walked through Central Park on my way to meet my partner, I saw it sitting on a set of steps, a black blot of ink staring at me with a pair of golden eyes. Except for the eye color, the cat somehow made me think of that partner of mine... deep, mysterious and unreadable.

The creature took some tentative steps towards me, and its movement reminded me of the cat-like grace Illya often displayed, especially when darting across girders, or on rooftops.

I liked my partner but I wasn't keen on felines, or even dogs for that matter. I walked past the shadowy cat and it let out a loud meow, drawing my attention back to it.

The Cat Burglar Affair - Writer's Choice/International Cat's Day - August 8th

The Cat Burglar Affair is only 5 months old, but it's the only one I have with a cat theme. In it, a female burglar chooses the wrong house to rob and UNCLE need to sort out the problem.

The story also went on the spawn a timeline which fully intend to continue, when I get around to it.
