Wow the last PicFic prompt for September already?
Time flies when you're having fun playing with Illya and Napoleon.
So let's see some more stories based on the PicFic prompt!

October will be here before we know it aaaand, what happens at the end of that month? (mwaaa haaa haaaa!)

Keeping that in mind our challenges posting for the week prior October 31st will have Halloween themes, just for fun. We have the Short Affair, PicFic, Drabbles, the Great Episode Challenge and What's my line? So choose one or choose them all and get your spooky on!

More reminders to follow.

Here's an UNCLE-centric prompt: Napoleon looks worried. I wonder why?

Illya Kuryakin sat at a baby grand piano; property of one Delila VanSandt who was the woman he and Napoleon were guarding. Though the Russian was quite an accomplished pianist, he had no inclination to play as it was the view that had his attention.

Delila’s home was an upscale apartment overlooking Central Park; the widows spanning from floor to ceiling, giving a spectacular overlook that anyone would envy. The sun was setting, filling the sky with vivid hues of yellow, orange, pink and purple, painted like a great canvas by an unseen artist.

Soon only lights of the city below and the twinkling stars above might give people a moment’s pause from their busy lives.

I honestly can't believe we're back at Monday again so soon. Or that we're approaching the end of September already. It was only January a minute ago. I shall attempt to pin down a little of this fleeing time, and write a short story for next Monday. Why don't you join me. You'll find the prompts and rules where I always keep them, beneath the cut.

You still have plenty of time to join in with the posting for today, which is a good thing for me, because I haven't even thought about today's story. You'll find the prompts for today right here.

If your story is AU, Long term romance, or Het, then please post it in the Map Room (remembering to leave a link to it on Section VII).

Have fun.

Not Quite According To Plan

There were some moments that as soon as they happened told you that you had just ruined your life, if not forever then at least for the foreseeable future. As far as Napoleon was concerned, gesturing grandly during a frank and spirited discussion about who was the better actor and accidentally letting slip the gold-leaf covered lead brick you'd been holding so it fell solidly onto your ridiculously-vindictive partner's foot certainly qualified.

“It was a dark and stormy night,” Napoleon murmured as he stared out of the hotel window, at the ominous purple sky and black clouds.

“Shouldn’t that be ‘is’?” came a pain-filled voice from the bed.
