Yes, we're on a sort of hiatus but I thought I could manage 100 words.

"Are we on for New Years?"

A raised eyebrow meant the Russian had forgotten.

"We're supposed to go out, paint the town...."

The expression changed to one of disapproval.

"I am sorry Napoleon, that was a discussion I did not take seriously.  What exactly do you mean by 'paint the town' ?"

New partner, learning curve…

"There's an odd expression about going out for a good time, you paint the town … um, red."

Now the American felt a slight flush.  It sounded odd, saying that to UNCLE's resident… red.

"Ah, I see."

"Maybe you don't…"

"It sounds fun. I like Red."

Jumping on the band wagon I guess, even though I thought we're supposed to be on a break. LOL! Hmm, I think Illya just heard me as he's repeating my words.

“I thought we were supposed to be on a break?”Illya moaned.

“That was what we were told but they’re baaack,” Solo answered. He and Illya ducked into the Map Room closet.

“What are you doing in here? I thought you were on vacation?” It was April Dancer, speaking to them from the shadows.

“We’re hiding, is that not obvious?” Illya whispered.”Might I ask the same of you?”

“Woke up and found myself here a while ago, seems I’m being ignored. I’m just waiting for them to bring me back.”

“Hey at least they don’t torture you,” Napoleon said.

A Break - A Little Drabble Do Ya - Dec 30th

I know we're on a break, but this came to mind, so I had to post it. It seemed apt.

There was no doubt a break was needed. Even though he was itching to get stuck into the next assignment, the mind and body sometimes flagged. Agents spent most of their time in a state of high tension that, even when off duty, they never truly relaxed. Sinking into his comfortable easy chair, with a glass of tea in one hand, and a book in the other, Illya decided that he was going to thoroughly enjoy his two week leave. He would return to work both physically and mentally refreshed, ready to take on whatever the evildoers had in store.
