I don't recall what prompted this story, but it became what it is perhaps by simply following an imaginary line.  My early stories had a lot of this type of mental narratives.

We discussed this and had some great feedback on the subject of doing a Crossover Challenge.  Some writers already have crossovers in their portfolio, posted and otherwise, and hopefully all of us have an idea floating around or the 'want to' regarding writing a new crossover that includes MFU and any other fandom/film/book, etc... of your choice.
This challenge will be multi-genre and will post on [livejournal.com profile] uncle_du_jour which is a community helmed by [livejournal.com profile] mrua7.
The stories can and hopefully will include artwork, photo manips or illustrations.  We can offer that as an entirely separate call to help ensure that every story has that included.
We don't have all of the details just yet, but I'm excited for the potential in this, and the fun of reading stories built around this concept.  Crossovers aren't new, of course, but I don't recall a challenge specifically aimed at them here in the MFU communities.
Dates, length of time before posting and a few other details are yet to be determined, but you might as well start writing because it will happen.
Questions, comments and suggestions can post here on this page.

The (gorgeous) prompt:

It was official, he was not to use the cover of the impoverished student at least for this assignment. He’d returned with his instructions from the Directorate. ‘Wear a suit they said; borrow one if you have to...which is exactly what Illya Kuryakin did.

“Go to Gorky Park at noon. Your contact will meet you there there near the amusments."

That was it, no details but that came as no surprise to the young GRU agent, and he did as he was instructed without question.

One of the first fics I ever recommended on this com was this crossover, which was archived in file40. As the archive is being discontinued, the author has kindly given me permission to post it here on section7. Very appropriately, it's happened in our crossover season.

in keeping with the idea of crossovers I'm reposting Glennagirl's post for the upcoming Crossover Challenge

As some of you know, I'm in the process of putting everything I've written on to AO3. As I'm doing it, I keep holding myself up by stopping to read some of them. I re-discovered this one a few days ago.

Sisters

I hope you enjoy it.

Just a little dialogue piece for Writer's Choice today... I posted it fairly recently to AO3 (I'm fairly newly back to the fandom after a little *ahem, 15 year* break). I hope it makes you smile.
