Good morning all. Here we are on another Monday and, finally, summer seems to have arrived in good old Blighty. The sun is shining, the temperature is warming up, and the wind has dropped 

Whatever the weather you are, why not take a break from it and write a short adventure for our intrepid heroes? You’ll find all the prompts and rules, for stories due on July 25th, below the cut.

There is still plenty of time to contribute to today’s posts from last week’s prompts. If you want to join in, you’ll find those prompts right here.

Remember, Section VII is a Gen site, but stories which are Het, Long-term Romance or AU can be posted in the Map Room. You’ll find the link for it down the side there.

PicFic Tuesday Prompts for 7/26 - Exploring The Men from UNCLE

What makes these men so good at their jobs?  Each has different skills, different approaches... and yet they work together like finely tuned instruments playing side by side.  Substitute another word for the ones I've chosen and we might have totally different descriptions of Solo and Kuryakin, and yet some or all of my words are undeniable.
And so...
These are your prompts for next week's PicFic.  Choose one or all three and write your story around the personalities and assets of these fellows that we all love and respect.
Gen stories for Section VII, minimum of 500 words with no limit. Posting for this is next Tuesday, July 26.
I know this is a different sort of PicFic, but it's summer and that means we get to do things not normally part of our routine.  I hope you enjoy the challenge.

Illya knocked loudly for the third time on his partner’s front door, but still no answer; even to their private, coded knock. He frowned. The likelihood of Napoleon being up and out already was extremely low. Napoleon was a man who loved his luxuries. And at this time in the morning, that meant staying in bed until the last possible moment. Napoleon was not such a lover of the winter cold as was Illya.

Dressed only his pants, Illya Kuryakin was restrained and tossed into a tide pool. Bound to a rock; the black water was as deep as his naked chest. It was frigid, and his teeth began to quickly chatter.

"Farewell U.N.C.L.E. agent. As soon as the tide comes in you will drown, but before that the crabs just might begin to feast," Halvor Ragnavaldsson laughed heartily as he began to recite a litany of names…."Odin, Thor, Loki, Freya I honor thee with this sacrifice!"
