This month's song choices were "This Diamond Ring" and "Everybody Loves a Clown" by Gary Lewis and the Playboys.

“I am so glad that we only have to be here once every five years to teach a class,” Napoleon declared as he gathered up his notes and returned them to his briefcase. “Paddling back and forth to the contact point with a seasick partner is not my idea of a good time.”

What's My Line? is Returning...
Sep. 15th, 2016 10:38 amWe've had a hiatus in several of our challenges over the Summer months, but Fall is upon us and so are the returning events that have been lounging elsewhere.
Next week we'll begin posting What's My Line? once more, and today you have the first prompt of our new season of challenges. The rules are like other challenges here on S7, but I'll list them again in case you're not sure.
Gen... that means mission centric, canon in nature, romance is okay but nothing that can be categorized as Het or Slash. If you do decide to venture into those waters, then posting is available on
mfu_map_room or
uncle_du_jour, respectively.
Word minimum: 500, with no limits.
Be inspired by the line and write a story involving any or all of our MFU characters. Posting runs Thursday 9/22 through Sunday 9/25.
Fan Fiction Terms Glossary is a site that has a rundown of terms used in fanfiction. It's a useful reference and something to keep bookmarked.

Okay, here it is, the prompt for next week's What's My Line?...
What do you mean it's on the way?

Challenges and More Challenges...
Sep. 15th, 2016 03:53 pmI know people get confused at times, and for sure I make
lindafishes8 want to pull her hair out at times over my fondness for serendipity. Here's the shakedown on our new Fall Schedule... just like television, we have a New Fall Schedule.
Mondays: Short_Affair (BTW, the tag you should be using for this is short_affair)
Tuesday: PicFic
Wednesday: A Little Drabble Do Ya
Thursdays (here's the tricky part) Song Story will post a prompt on the first Thursday of the month, with stories posting two weeks after the prompt goes up.
What's My Line? will post a prompt on the first Thursday of the month with stories posting the following week.
Following this?
A new challenge will be forthcoming, and with holidays coming in triplicate, we'll have some special events for them as well.
That's not hard to remember, right? Be sure and keep a copy of the Calendar close by, just in case.

This entry was edited because we can't quite figure out what we're doing. We have a call in to Mr. Waverly.
