The Christmas aftermath has people out and about, shopping and visiting and whatever else we find to do after the big day is over and New Years looms in the nearness of the weekend.
I hope you make time to drabble, it's so good for you.
And what if we try something different today, just on a whim.  We didn't have PicFic so how about a prompt for a drabble, or a double drabble, or... you get the idea.

“This is not exactly how I was planning to spend New Year’s Eve Illya,” Solo groused.

He was laying in a hospital bed, his right ankle in a cast and propped up on a pillow.

“It did come as a surprise,” Kuryakin was seated in a chair beside the bed. “I guess your date with the Bumsen twins will be cancelled.”

“You mean ‘our’ date.” Napoleon said.*

“No, you tried to include me; I wanted nothing to do with it as your taste in women differs from mine. JaJa and Honig are simply not my type.”

“Illya it’s New Year’s Eve...just one night, come on, let your hair down and live a little!”

“My hair is just fine, thank you.”

“If that’s how you want it. Hand me those crutches; I have a date with…” Napoleon hesitated, “twins.”  What was he thinking, asking Illya to double date when he could have twin sisters all to himself?

“Tovarisch, your loss, my gain. Now I need to get home and change."

“Napoleon? You do realize that in order to put on your trousers, you will have to cut the pant leg.”

Solo flopped back onto his bed…
