Reminder - The Happy Ever After Challenge for Valentine's Day

Posting opened on the 6th and runs through Valentine's Day.
Think kissing and cuddling and all things romantic.  Champagne suppers and picnics with your favorite foods.  Candlelight, fairy lights, fireworks... What's your pleasure?
We can go as mushy and romantic as we've ever dreamed possible.  Comic, euphoric or happy as a clam, let's go all out this Valentine's Day with stories that capture the giddy delights of true love.

Candles were flickering everywhere as she entered the bedroom, and she immediately detected the scent of roses.

“Illya?”

“And who else would spread rose petals on our bed my beloved wife, “he whispered from behind her, having appeared out of nowhere.

“Jaysus! I hate when you do that, sneaking up on me like that.”

“One would think after all these years you would have become accustomed to it my darling,” he brushed her hair aside with his hand and began nibbling on the back of her neck.

Elliott giggled, as that got her every time.

Writer's Choice 11th February The Lake of Tears Affair

This is Chapter One of my 28 chapter epic, but it was originally written and designed as a one off. I was inspired to add the further 27 chapters to it by a chance comment by Alynwa, but this is the original story posted on FF way back when.


                “I’m sorry Mr. Solo, but you will be handling this assignment with the assistance of Agent Mark Slate. Mr. Kuryakin is indisposed and unfit for duty for a while.”
          
“Indisposed? Illya? Is he sick? Is he alright?”

Alexander Waverly tutted at him, but kindly.

            “Mr. Solo, if Mr. Kuryakin was alright, he would not be indisposed would he? Rest assured that he will be back with us soon enough. In the meantime, you have a mission in China to complete.”
