Ladies First - My Aunt Amy Stories

She's one of the ladies of MFU, no doubt about it.  Ironically, Aunt Amy shows up only once and it's in the Return Movie, the most contentiously debated element within UNCLE canon... Or is it canon? People love to write about Amy while refusing to embrace the only 'episode' in which she is mentioned.
Oh well...
My take on Amy is very different, and I make no apologies for seeing it from a completely different vantage point.  The stories are who I think she is and how she fit into the lives of our agents.  I posted these once before in a Writer's Choice, but they seem appropriate for this Ladies First event we're enjoying this weekend.

I was looking for this story yesterday for the Ladies of U.N.C.L.E. but I couldn't find it on AO3. It turns out that I missed it when I was transferring my other works (I've rectified that now). I'll rec in today instead, for Writer's Choice.

A Drabble; A Letter part 5

Illya stared at his partner, momentarily stunned into silence. Napoleon gave him a hard look, and rubbed the palm of his hand across his face, almost angrily, then banged it against the steering wheel.

           “You want me to drive?” Illya asked him. “You’ve had a terrible shock, and…”

Napoleon rounded on him.

            “ No I don’t want you to drive, Illya! I’ve lost my little girl, not my…..not my…marb….”

His voice gave out and he turned a pair of wet eyes to his partner.

              “Illya. . .how do you deal with this?"

Illya's smile was bittersweet.

"I don't." He whispered.
