Happy New Year!  Can you believe it's 2018?  Time flies whether you're having fun or not.

Our cousin, Lindafishes8, recommended the Gin's song, "Hey, Ho, Nobody Knows You're Not Coming Home."  I admit, I had never heard of the song or the artist, but I was pleasantly surprised by it and her.  I picked the second selection, "Man Like That."  You can check out the videos below and click on the links for the lyrics.

How About... an Impromptu Challenge

I got out my little iBook, the laptop I've had for years and that still has files and photos from when I was using it exclusively.  This image popped up in my perusal of a photo file, an illustration I did years ago and then treated with a photoshop effect.  You can take it in whatever direction suits you, and post anytime (hopefully sooner than later so we can read it).  I have a couple of ideas myself but am currently trying to get out the door and head to work.  I'll get back to it later, and I hope some of you will be inspired to pen something, from drabble to wherever it leads you.

The sad news of losing one of our own was shared today by spikesgirl58 in the canteen.
yelizaveta52 passed away in September, although the news is just now reaching us.  She was a member of Section VII, commenting when she was able but had suffered several setbacks regarding her health.  We can hope that the memories she made with friends and family will help in the days to come.

An Explanation - Impromtu Challenge - Jan 4th

I don't know how this came from the pictures glennagirl posted, but who am I to deny the muse when she appears.

Although it isn't really canon, Illya's hatred of hospitals is very much a part of fanon. This story is an attempt to explain this hatred. Before anyone says it, I know it could be expanded :-) In fact, it kind of ties in a little with a story I wrote some time ago called 'Unknown Fear'. One day, I may bring the two together and form a much longer piece.
