A beautiful day beckoned to the two men whose jobs normally included saving the world on a semi-regular basis.
"Illya, this is what New York is all about. A sack lunch in Central Park on a day decorated by beautiful girls in short dresses."
"That is the sum total of the worth of a great city?"
Napoleon took a bite of a sandwich filled with deli meats and cheeses and a dollop of ketchup.
"Yep, on this particular day, definitely. What about you?"
The Russian looked around and breathed in a freedom he had dared not dream about in his youth.
"Being here, not feeling the weight of someone watching me, judging my activities on the scale of Soviet justice.' He hoped it didn't sound as though he were criticizing his homeland.
"I miss Russia my friend. I do not miss the rigors of Soviet life."
"To freedom."
"Da."
