Extra Extra! It's time for A Little Drabble Do Ya

If you're new here or just haven't heard of drabbles, this is the place to be.  Every Wednesday we have A Little Drabble Do Ya, a place for your gem of 100 words.  A double drabble is fine as well, that would be 200 words.
It's a good way to learn how to be concise in your writing, to get a point across in fewer words.  It's a discipline, but it's also fun and challenging.

Friendly Persuasion - A Little Drabble Do ya

In the midst of scuffling with a THRUSH guard, Napoleon suddenly broke into a fit of laughter. It made everything come to a stop.

“Why are you laughing?” The THRUSH stepped back, annoyed and perplexed. A tap on his shoulder caused him to turn around into a left hook from Illya.

Napoleon immediately stopped laughing, amazed at how well the strategy had worked.

“That was much easier than all the fighting and scratching…’ He had to admit, the Russian was handy to have around.

“Well, I knew you had a date tonight. It seemed efficient.”

“Thanks tovarisch, I owe you.”

Missed Deadline - A Little Drabble Do ya! - May 1st

“Napoleon, have you finished that report yet?”

Solo looked up at Lisa Rogers, who’d just entered his office.

“Almost,” he replied.” I need to tidy up some loose ends.”

“To quote Mr Waverly, ’we have deadlines for a reason. Tell Mr Solo to get his finger out’.”

Napoleon crinkled his nose in annoyance.

“Illya is better at this than me,” he complained. “He knows how to set the facts out in a more coherent way.”

“Well, he’s not so injured that he can’t operate a typewriter,” Lisa stated.

“You’re right! And it’s not like he has anything else to do.”

A/N - This drabble was inspired by the fact I missed the deadline for the Picfic. I'm almost finished (just a few loose ends to tidy up). I'll hopefully post it tomorrow.
