2020 is the perfect year for some spooky tales of terror for the Man from U.N.C.L.E. though they’ll probably pale by comparison to real life. I think 2020 is the year we’d all like to forget about...

Many of us are having difficulty writing due to stress, being under lockdown, job loss, as well as many other anxiety-ridden reasons.

So this year for The 7 Days of Halloween, Section VII will have a week of Writer’s and Reader's Choice!

No pressure to write!

Post a link to a Halloween-related story each day of the seven days. (post more than one if you wish) If you haven’t written any, then post links to your favorite Halloween-ish stories by your favorite author.
(don't forget to metion their user name)

OR, if you are feeling brave and inspired, by all means post a new story that you’ve written.

Just remember when posting your stories:

They must have a Halloween-ish or spooky theme and should fit into the GENeral concepts of the

section7mfu community, containing nothing explicit.

However, that being said, there is a GEN-mature tag option for stories that contain violence, torture, angst or mild het. So if your story falls under that category please use the appropriate tag.

I had forgotten all about this, but it says it's last year, and it says Halloween. Based on that I'm posting this little series of shorts for the first day of our nod to the season.

7 Deadly Sins Challenge

I thought it would be appropriate if Illya told a story with a socialist theme.

The Bargain

New York City, Halloween night, 1964

"… And there it was — the hook — still attached to the outside handle of the passenger door…"

As he finished his story, George Dennel sat back in his chair, feeling very pleased with himself. He wanted to add an evil laugh at the end, but thought better of it. He wasn’t very good at evil laughter anyway.

The small group that was gathered in the commissary of U.N.C.L.E. HQ offered polite nods and smiles. Mandy even clapped. It wasn’t quite the reaction he’d expected.

"That’s an old one, George,” Napoleon Solo observed from behind the nearby counter where he was mixing drinks for all of them. "Everyone’s heard it before." It was long after the dinner hour and except for the janitor mopping up the floors, the kitchen staff was gone for the night.

"Really?" George asked, genuinely surprised.

"In my country," Illya Kuryakin informed him, "it’s a scythe hanging on the side of a hay wagon."
