In honor of Groundhog Day, the end of Winter and the prospect of Spring,

section7mfu will commence with the first ever Holiday of Dubious Origins Writing Event. HODOWE for short ;) I think that it is pronounced just like it looks (and reminds me of a dog trying to talk), and will be used in future for announcements of writing events in this category.

carabele is the author of this most excellent idea, first suggested on Fan Fiction, where we will be launching this event as well. Since many people still prefer to not go there, we are bringing it here in an effort to share with more people, hopefully, both writers and readers.
The posting begins on January 29 and ends on February 4. The story should be at least 500 words, with more being good and encouraged. In keeping with the spirit of this site, stories should be appropriate for all.
