I'm repeating myself...
Oct. 19th, 2017 07:53 amIt seems the posts I make most often are those where I try and explain my absences. So, here I go again...
In addition to the increase in my work hours, we had a death in our family on Tuesday. Losing someone affects so many aspects of our life, our attention and focus. Dallis was the husband of my cousin Kathy, who we lost two years ago to cancer. She was my closest cousin in age, and we grew up writing letters across the miles, cherishing each other as the sisters we never had.
All of this to say that my mind has been elsewhere, my attention on family matters. I miss being really active here and sincerely apologize if anyone has noticed and felt neglected. Perhaps that is too precious of me, to think it matters, but this community has been a labor of love for the fandom's inimitable heroes and the organization they serve. I am hoping that in the days ahead I can carve out that space again for immersing myself in the luxury of writing.
In the meantime, so many people are carrying on splendidly! Thanks to everyone who continues to post challenges, write stories and pay attention. Our readers are sometimes silent but the statistics tell us you are here.
I'm looking forward to sitting down and reading what I've missed and adding to them... soon.
You're all so awesome. Thank you.
