We're going to have another Christmas Round Robin this year. I know a few of us are writing for the Down the Chimney Affair, but since the due date on that is Dec. 11, that gives us time to get in our own special offering for the season.
The title will be The Twelve Days of Christmas Tidings Affair, and the first intallment will be posted on December 10.
Here's the basic outline:
Take characters (leading and guests), and write their Christmas Tidings and how they will relate to or be integrated into the storyline. Each writer will take one character, to be determined by a random drawing that I haven't quite figured out. I'm thinking of a virtual fishbowl of names to be drawn out randomly in the order you comment. I'll work on it.
You may need to go back and review the episode in which your character was featured. The three main characters will only appear in the first and last installments.
In Section VII fashion, the content should be Gen in nature. Each chapter should be between 200-1200 words, helping us to not be mired in a project in what is a busy season for many.
There are ten names, so that means we need ten writers. The last story will tie everything together in Round Robin fashion. The Twelve Days of Christmas Tidings Affair will run from December 10-21, so we're done before the final Christmas rush.
What I'm hoping for is something both poignant and provocative, based on the characters that will be featured. They each have a unique relationship with our UNCLE agents, and stories can involve that aspect as well as their own histories apart from UNCLE. Tying it into the opening chapter is your assignment, which I hope you will accept with glee.
You can sign up now or in the coming days; I'll provide a link to this on a daily basis.
I hope you'll join us in this now annual event...
