It is easy to put his eating down to a purely psychological need born from childhood trauma, but when we see him on the show, he is enjoying the food. I like to think he took a negative and turned it into a kind of hobby :-)

Great way of looking at it. I have the childhood trauma and starvation in my stories, but also gave him a high metabolism, meaning he needs more fuel and therefore more food. I like your take on the topic better :D
