Sorry, i don't understand why it happens. I have the same problem with Sparky's posts too.

I looked into it with LJ trouble shooting and it say the images need to be uploaded with a URL from another site.instead of my desktop. Doesn't make sense as others are able to see the images. Will investigate further or you can google "why can't I see images posted on LiveJournal." It may make more sense to you than me as I'm not the most computer/internet literate person.
