It's a rainy morning, which makes a cup of coffee taste that much better because the temperatures have dropped down about twenty degrees, making Autumn finally and officially here.
I checked in here on our comm and was looking at the logo we see whenever Section VII opens up.
Have you ever really examined it? It's brilliant. Thanks to

togsos for that, a talented graphic artist who did us a huge favor (thanks mainly to

mrua7 and her Irish heritage, I think ;). The banner is so evocative of the series, of the men whose lives we attempt to chronicle, and the truly cutting edge quality of the show when it appeared on the scene in 1964.
I hope Section VII can remain as vital going into the next year as it has been for the past six, inspiring writers and readers with stories and challenges, ideas and friendships.
This week we have something we're calling First Story Affair. It is an open invitation to anyone who wants to write, who has the glimmer of an idea or a finished draft. We want to encourage you and welcome you into this community, to the fandom at large, and help you towards your goal of writing MFU fanfiction.
The Great Episode Challenge has returned, it posts this week as well. Later on you'll hear more about the Seven Days of Halloween, and looking even farther ahead, we'll be having our third Christmas Round Robin.
I hope your Sunday is just what you need it to be, and that you'll read a few stories and enjoy some time with Napoleon and Illya.
