I remember this one, and it's terrifying. I've always found dolls creepy, even when I was a little girl.

Dolls' houses too are strange and unsettling. M.R. James wrote a horror story called "The haunted dolls' house" - he's a VERY creepy writer - and there's even a Beatrix Potter story set in one. "The tale of two bad mice", I think.
