Everyone knew that Napoleon was gregarious and Illya was perspicacious, yet few realised that each man had both of these qualities to varying degrees. When it came to choosing a date, Solo's perspicacity could be quite assure. As for Illya, even though he was happy in his own company, when he was with a group of people, with whom he was comfortable, his gregariousness would come to the fore.

Mr. Waverly was confident his pairing of the two young agents would be successful. Solo was gregarious. a "people person" who many times used his personality and charm to solve situations, while the Russian was perspicacious in technical and scientific matters. Only time would tell if his judgement was accurate.
