Thank you! No sprucing up at headquarters as Sadie Hawkins Day is made up, based upon the "L'il Abner' comic strip. Sadie Hawkins Day in the comic was about a woman chasing after an unmarried man and if caught, he had to marry her.
Waverly would let such an inauspicious occasion only go so far, so hence the dating thing at headquarters. As I said in the story, he thought it a good lesson for his agents to practice their evasion tactics. lol!
