It's funny that you say you want their personality quirks to come out; I've been thinking about their friendship and though it seems to be widely accepted that they are BFFs, it also seems to be widely accepted that they have nothing in common. In my mind, maybe at first, but eventually they had to find common ground on which to base their trust and friendship.
