section7mfuWhy I Like It: I always wondered about the fallout from Napoleon’s freewheeling ways about sex; if any of his conquests were disappointed when they discovered they were just a one night stand. What if that didn’t sit well?
This story is also a lesson for me. If I had truly let the story play out the way it was supposed to it would have been almost 50k words. I didn’t want to write a tale that long so I “strangled” it into submission to get it to 6600. It hurt the story and even though I do like the tale, it would have been better if I had just let the story tell itself. This story taught me to let the story unfold naturally and let it be as long as it needs to be.
