Yeah, it's a funny name, but it stands for Holidays Of Dubious Origins Writing Event.  A mouthful, to be sure, but a boatload of fun for the writers (sure it's fun ;) and the readers who get new material for those leisurely moments.
Stories can be submitted January 29 thru February 4.  If the winter days have you wishing for Spring, then an MFU story will ease your cold weather blues.
Please feel free to copy the info above onto your own journal page so that the word gets out to more people.  We are, after all, the section dedicated to Public Relations and Propaganda.

Good gosh! That looks like how I usually write.

Okay, so a few of the accoutrement may be missing - no luxurious setting and no flowers, bed tray, pink bed jacket or foot-long cigarette holder (that thing looks dangerous!), etc., etc. ...

I have a window behind the bed - that should count for something.

I used to have a bed/breakfast tray, but it's been lost in the moving somewhere. I thought it was an appropriate image for all of us furiously trying to finish that last 100 words :D
