Illya tasted some of the concoction cooking in a pot on his stove; nodding his approval.

He heard Napoleon call to him.

“Illya?”

“Kitchen.”

“What’s that?”

“You will see. Sit and I will give you some.”

“You cooked?”

“Yes.”

“I’m your guinea pig?”

Illya ladeled soup into a bowl, handing Solo a spoon.

“Mmm, delicious!”

“Egg drop soup made with chicken broth, soy sauce, sesame oil, onions and two eggs.”

“So you can cook, other than boiling water tovarisch...more please? Cost more to make than getting it at Changs, I’ll bet.”

“Tsk. The way you are eating, it will…”

Heya! You're welcome! Yup, pretty much. I also did one at about the same time for glengirl. I think I saw hers first, then read yours. I've been exploring, looking at the links listed on the right. I also commented on that retro toy puzzle someone had up. It really does look like a fun community, M. I'll get a user pic uploaded tomorrow.

Good you're jumping right it. Section VII is the only writing site. There are others that offer periodic challenges but only tied in to specific holidays. We're the most active MFU comm. Scrapbook and the Canteen are active but not always MFU related. MFUWSS has some interesting options for the the budding writer. The Map Room is for het and romance stories, Uncle du Jour is for gen, pre-slash and slash offerings.

If you look at the calendar for Section VII...clicking on the tag for calendar (to the right of the page) We have someone post the calendar of events and challenges on the site for the month, then each Monday the weekly portion is reposted.

Here's the challenges.

Monday: The Short Affair. posting and the next week's prompt. PicFic prompt is posted each Monday.
Tuesday: PicFic Tuesday story postings (week turn over between prompt and story posting.
Wednesday: A little drabble do you. 100 word drabbles On hiatus Wednesday is all about April- stories involving GFU, also on hiatus: Ladies Choice-stories about the women of UNCLE (and THRUSH too)
Thursday; Usually a challenge called What's My Line. A single line prompts a story.
The third Thursday of the month is the Great Episode challenge. Prompts based on 2 episodes from which to choose

Friday: Glenna hosts 'The Reading Room" her personal MFU story recoomendations for readers.
Saturday: I host 'Writer's Choice"- gives writers and readers a chance to rec their own stories or those of their favorite authors
Sunday: The Round Table Discussion: Glenna hosts a discussion on a topic that she posts.

Quarterly Challenges by La H Carabele; She has various prompts, quotes, holidays that she selects on which you base your story. Usually a window of a week to post
