This cooking thing was getting better as Kuryakin stared triumphantly at his home made breakfast.Toasted Wonder Bread, buttered and sliced into nice even strips. Two soft boiled eggs nestled in shot glasses for egg cups...his first ‘eggs and soldiers.’
Preferring the yolks, not the whites as they made him think of fat, fat made him think of gristle... much of his diet back in the Soviet Union.
The toast finished; Illya spooned the last of the egg from each shell. Despite unpleasant memories, food was food; he was not one to waste it.
Old habits died hard...

Date: 2015-07-29 08:28 pm (UTC)It's over 36˚ C here and supposed to be like that all week, with terrible humidity.
Here I have my car back and am staying inside anyway...but at least it's there if I suddenly decide to go have an ice cream cone later. (giggle)

Date: 2015-07-29 10:54 pm (UTC)In 'The Suburbia Affair 'he felt ambitious enough to try a soufflé but, he needed a recipe...ie a 'formula'... So I wonder how that soufflé would have come out if he got the chance to make it. :D
Thanks for the compliment!
