On the eve of the holiday season many eager shoppers line the halls of department stores all across America, searching for last minute bargains. I, however, am still searching for the truth behind Vanya’s, the successful and shockingly recent break into affordable fashion for the masses.
What I am finding, dear readers, is an enigma, wrapped in a mystery, wrapped in a heavenly winter coat with a fur collar.

(Or, a post-series AU. The world tries to unravel Vanya’s mystery, Illya tries to stay afloat and unravel a mystery of his own, and Rita Hogarty tries to do her job.)

Thank you for this terrific fic. By using the assistant's POV to tell the story, your tale was skillfully and satisfyingly told. I must confess that when I got to the end, I wanted more. It's not that there was a problem with it, I just wanted it to go on and on. Well done!

:D Thank you! Outsider POV is so fun to write, even if it has to be pretty carefully managed to keep the interest there... I couldn't help myself.
Re: the ending - I may have changed the ending... slightly... from when you read it (just clarified with a few sentences that I realized were missing when I woke up and looked at it again), but I think the whole will have remained the same. I probably could have continued for a bit, but the fic was ready to be out and done, and so was I. :)

What a wonderful new AU you've created. The comeback of U.N.C.L.E.! Like lindafishes8, I wanted it to continue. I want more. Thank you for such a fantastically well done story.

Wow!! That was a better storyline than the return movie. Rita's POV was an intriguing angle-- a loyal assistant, who is curious and more than capable. You handled Napoleon's return exceptionally well, to the point, I doubted my thoughts there for a few lines. Bravo! Love this AU. May we have more please??

Hehe! You know, I still haven't seen that movie? XD After awhile, with so many bad reviews by folks, I just decided I only had so many hours in my life.
I'm really glad you enjoyed the fic! And glad that Napoleon, when he finally made it on screen, was worth it.
