A double drabble~

Solo’s head raced, trying to make sense of the facts.

“Fortune cookies, addresses, an unfinished bomb, Chinese agents wanting to destroy THRUSH, Ecks back from the dead, Wye showing up, Angelique, and the trap at Hurley’s Bar…probably Egret.”

“Sylvia,” he snapped his fingers.

“What are you on about now mate?” Mark asked.

“Sylvia,” Illya nodded.

“We need to get to headquarters and fast. Egret was there, as Sylvia, where else could she hide something in plain sight?”

Solo’s communicator chirped a call from April.

“HQ is on red alert. Dr. Egret is actually alive, but barely."

Illya pulled his communicator calling for a complete search of headquarters. ”Check anything to do with Sylvia Barton! Maybe a bomb!”

By the time the agents arrived, a powerful explosive device capable of blowing up the entire block was found and disarmed.

Ecks and Wye were questioned and released, Jie and Angelique too.

Egret would be shipped to Antarctica; a life sentence in Tartarus.

When all was said and done, the merry chase was at last over. Illya and Napoleon finally gave up trying to piece everything together.

“Hungry tovarisch?”

“Always…Chang’s?”

“Why not?”

Illya tossed over a fortune cookie from his desk, “Last one.”

Brava, absolutely tied it all up with a big Chinese red bow ;) I suspect Egret will escape however, she always does. Ending it with a meal of Chinese is perfect, and fearless I might add.

And an excellent conclusion, thank you. I love that it ended with them going back to eat at the restaurant.

Yay! A well done conclusion to our twisty Fortune Cookie Affair and Dr. Egret! So, the boys returned to the scene of the crime-Chang's. Just so they don't let Waverly find out.

I'm glad you and Glenna were last in the round robin and came up with this smooth finish. Thanks! It was fun being part of it.

"You will soon find more adventure in life." Now that's an understatement.

Good last line! Obviously, can't keep Illya away from a good Chinese restaurant.

I thought you'd have to write a very long chapter to get it all straightened out. But neatly done, especially deducing Sylvia's work space.

Mind you, I'm not quite sure Egret's going to stay in Tartarus.

You wrapped it up perfectly. I love the fact they went back to the same restaurant :-)

LOL. I definitely found that a sneaky and amusing way to get a few more words in there. ;) And I'm amused that the guys decided to give up trying to make sense of everything.

Wow, I am impressed that you managed to fit all of that into 200 words! What a wrap-up! And LOL, I am very amused that Napoleon and Illya celebrate by going right back to Chang's.

I'm also happy that Ecks and Wye were released. ;) Off to continue doing ... whatever it is they're doing now.

LOL.

I think I need to read the story as one continuous thing to see all the twists and turns. ;)

Probably a random THRUSH agent that ambushed Napoleon and Mark. And probably Egret planted the bomb on orders from a higher-up. But interesting unanswered questions indeed!

I definitely did! I got plunnied from it ... both the one I started and I have an urge to write a short piece taking place after the round robin. ;)

I Love It!

Great ending! A round of applause for all of us; and especially to Marian for tying up all the crazy loose ends we threw at her.

We're awesome!

Wow! You did it! Very nicely wrapped up and done in 200 words. I bow to your cleverness. The story is quite a whirlwind of activity and it will be fun to see it all knitted together. Thanks for a fun time with the round robin.

Am delighted that you're going to post this over on ao3.
