This was written last year for pactnmmt, for the Halloween Challenge on Scrapbook.  It's become one of my favorite stories as it combines Solo and Kuryakin on a dangerous mission near the Soviet-Finnish border along with some Russian folklore.

The prompt was a photo of a howling wolf taken by pactnmmt while in Yellowstone National Park.
