Date: 2015-11-14 05:59 pm (UTC)I remember when everything shut down here on 9/11. It was like being frozen in time. I had not television and couldn't keep up with the news. I wasn't using cable tv at the time and with the towers coming down there was no signal for over the air broadcast.
I had to go to a neighbors house to watch the news and the President's address.

It does come down to a person's right to defend themselves...but how can you if you aren't armed. Words don't work with these people.
In these clandestine, random attacks against people going about their peaceful activities, nothing can be done to prevent them The police and governments cannot give blanket protection against this sort of violence....unless people want to see armed solders with AK47's on every street corner.
There's no simple answer to this from any perspective.
