Short Affair PROMPTS for December 21st

As next week’s Short Affair falls in the same week as Christmas, I’ve decided to break my own rules. So, instead of finding random words in the dictionary, I’ve deliberately chosen to seasonal words. I wouldn’t normally push you in a direction with your story, but I really would love for you to write something festive.

For those who may not know how it works, all you have to do is chose ONE of the two prompt words I give you. Combine that with the prompt colour, and come up with a story with a word count between 300 – 1000. The prompts, and a full set of rules, are under the cut.

Should your story be AU, Long term romance, or Het, then please post it in the Map Room (remembering to leave a link to it on Section VII).

Challenge Rules

-Your story should be built around ONE of the prompt words plus the colour. I.E.- Word #1/Colour or Word #2/Colour

-Word Count – must be between 300 and 1000.

-All stories should be headed with ‘Short Affair’ Challenge, the due date and your title.

-Please state at the top of your post which prompt combination you are using.

-Tags - please use short_affair, gen or gen-mature.

-Section VII is a Gen community, so stories should be appropriate, i.e. nothing explicit or overly-graphic. However, there is the Gen-Mature tag for anything containing violence, torture or mild Het. The Map Room should be used for Het stories, but again, nothing overly graphic.

-Also, as a courtesy to others, please use the LJ Cut, so as not to take up all the room on someone’s feed.
