I hope everyone has been enjoying our little Winter Hiatus from challenges and deadlines.  I imagine we're about ready to get back at it, plus there's the Valentine Challenge on Scrapbook heading in to February, our own Quote Me that launches our Seasonal Challenges for 2016.
So, just to warm things up a little, how about something to get us thinking... A Poll.

Unfortunately LJ won't let me insert a real poll, so how about answering some questions in the comment box.

1. How long have you been an MFU fan?
2. Has your participation increased or decreased in the past year?
3. How do you see 2016, fandomwise?  Will you still be active?
4. Do you primarily read, write or lurk about and try not to draw attention to yourself?
5. Did you come to MFU via the TV Series or the Movie?

Okay, let's see if anyone is out there today.

1. How long have you been an MFU fan? First Cousin, since series first aired
2. Has your participation increased or decreased in the past year?
Increased some as I was laid up with medical issues, so had more time for reading, etc
3. How do you see 2016, fandomwise? Will you still be active? I will still be active, but now that medical issues are resolving, possibly not as much as 2015

4. Do you primarily read, write or lurk about and try not to draw attention to yourself? I primarily read, but do comment sometimes.
5. Did you come to MFU via the TV Series or the Movie? See #1, above, but I did enjoy the movie.

#1: A fan at the first, but a good long lapse until I stumabled over the fandom a few years ago.

#2: It has fallen off a bit just lately

#3: Hoping it will at least stay steady, and the tv series stays strong.

#4: Read

#5: TV series.

5. TV

1. How long have you been an MFU fan?
Since the show was syndicated in the late 80s. Watched it with my dad, who was a first cousin.

2. Has your participation increased or decreased in the past year?
Increased since I joined the online fandom.

3. How do you see 2016, fandomwise? Will you still be active?
I hope to be very active, life circumstances permitting.

4. Do you primarily read, write or lurk about and try not to draw attention to yourself?
I write, read, and comment when I can.

5. Did you come to MFU via the TV Series or the Movie?
TV series. Just got the DVDs for Christmas. Now I don't have to wait for MeTV's weekly episode. :)

1 and 8 - I've been a fan since the first episode of the series originally aired.
2 - I think it's stayed about the same.
3 - I anticipate keeping active.
4 - Mostly I read the entries here. I occasionally write but haven't posted here. They're just random scenes, not whole stories.

1. Less than six months! Though I've been curious about the show for a while because of the Star Trek connection, I only finally got to see it this August (see 5 below).

2. Increased, clearly.

3. I certainly will be.

4. Mostly I read, though I do also write.

5. TV series. (Though one could say it was indirectly because of the movie, oddly enough, since I rather disliked it. I was waiting for new region 2 DVDs of the show to come out, because I live in a place where that's the only way to see it, and probably the reason they FINALLY came out this August was to coincide with the movie...)

1 - Since I was about 10, in the mid 80s

2 - Increased. All thanks to Section VII.

3 - I most certainly intend to be.

4 - I read and write mostly, with the occasional lurk.

5 - TV series. Illya Kuryakin was the first man I fell in love with.

1) First cousin, since August 1965
2) Decreased considerably. My job is too demanding. But I did run a poll and publish an article on our fandom. And I did hang out with MFU fans at the movie meet-up in Burbank in August.
3) No time to write; I will be doing more research however.
4) Doubt I can actually 'lurk' after so many years.
5) series. I did like the movie.

1. Started watching it with my Mum in the late eighties/early nineties when I was very young. I loved it, but I had to content myself with a handful of episodes on vhs until recently.

2. Increased - I just joined last year.

3. Definitely still active....hey, maybe I'll even finish a wip. Though I've had quite a bit of writers block the past month or so unfortunately.

4. Mostly writing and reading.

5.. TV series.

Meant to do this yesterday, but got lost in work.

1. About 36 years, more or less
2. Stayed the same or increased.
3. I'll be as active as my life allows me. I don't see writing any less, certainly.
4. Write and draw as much attention to MFU as possible.
5. The series.

1. I'm not sure but when I was a high school girl, I was watching the repeat, and my father passing by...and said, "You're watching the show again? My girl hasn't changed a bit from 3 years old..." So, if he was correct, it's about 40 years.

2. Has decreased for a while and gonna be increased again.

3. I'm gonna be active. Maybe.

4. Read, and hopefully write some.

5. Both? Via the TV Series at first but via the Movie this time.
I mean, I enjoyed the movie and tried some fanfictions but when you read "Napoleon said this and Illya said that" my brain automatically pop-up brilliant Solo of Vaughn and short Russian Illya of McCallum instead of too taller versions of them (I'm not complaining their good looking. I really enjoyed it.), and I gave up. I love them of the tv series too much.

1. Three weeks--complete and utter newbie here, heh...
2. Increasing, and by the day...
3. I certainly hope to be active! I've got some plot bunnies running around, but I'm waiting to know the characters a bit more before I actually start writing for them.
4. As of now, reading and lurking, but I do intend to be more active once I've seen some episodes and know the characters better.
5. The movie, which was a springboard to me being curious about the series and then realizing that David McCallum's Illya was something I needed more of in my life.

1. How long have you been an MFU fan?

A couple of years or so, although I was aware of the series' existence for many years and always wanted to try it. Crime-fighting series have always been my first love.

2. Has your participation increased or decreased in the past year?

Increased off and on, almost always when someone else encourages me to do something for the fandom and then I get plunnied.

3. How do you see 2016, fandomwise? Will you still be active?

I really couldn't say. I'll certainly be semi-active, at least.

4. Do you primarily read, write or lurk about and try not to draw attention to yourself?

Depends on whether I'm in a plunnie spurt or not. I try to read some things, especially some of the little oneshots, and I try to comment on most of what I read. I write for a while and then crawl back in my little hole again....

5. Did you come to MFU via the TV Series or the Movie?

TV Series. After wanting to try it for years, it was Richard Anderson's first guest-spot that finally made it happen. Then I immediately fell in love with the series and there was no going back.
