Spring is here but you wouldn't know it as where I live, we had snow
for the first day of the spring season.

Thank you! I love watching birds in flight. We have red-tailed hawks and huge turkey vultures right around my complex, along with lots of robins and sparrows. And seagulls too, when a storm is coming in.

I can't find an copy online extant for my old computer, but if you ever have a chance to read Eric Frank Russell's short story Tieline (my issue's in his story collection Somewhere A Voice) I strongly rec it. It's almost all build up, and not very good build up at that, but the end is worth it.

And you'll see why it's my reply to your prompt.
