After all of those drabbles and putting your story into so few words, here's something to think about: a Very Short Story Contest 10 words or less.
It's fashioned after the Hemmingway short story that won him a bet for writing a complete story in fewer than ten words.

wow! This brought to mind the sixlittlewords challenge that occurred on LJ back in 2006. There actually was a community of that name and it was prompted by the famous Hemingway line that you quoted.

Thanks for the link. I know some people have commented elsewhere that they don't like or read drabbles, but I think they are very good exercises in editing. I know writing them has helped me to redefine what is important to a scene.
Ten words or less... ultimate editing ;)
