“I propose a change in plans, Napoleon.  I will head back to Little Russia to find out what THRUSH is trying to hide from UNCLE.”

“And I…”

“You will go back to Headquarters and demand Mr. Waverly tell you what he knows.”

“What?  You must be you’re joking!”

Illya smiled.  “I am, but you can figure out a way to obtain that information.  Miss Rogers is out sick this week and I believe one of your Saturday night steadies, Miss Chambers, is filling in for her.  Mr. Waverly flew out this afternoon to meet with Number One, UNCLE Africa and will return in two days.  At least, that is what the grapevine says.”

Napoleon gaped in shock and said, “Since when did you start paying attention to the grapevine?”

“I am a spy.  Gathering information is what I do.  The secretaries are an excellent source and one never knows when it will come in handy.”

“I see.  Fine, but you be careful.  In fact, here.”  Napoleon placed a homing device under Illya’s collar.  “Just in case I have to come find you, again."

“Yes, Mother.”

“Hey, you have to tell me what the grapevine says about me.”

“Of course, Napoleon.”
