“Hisssssss, mraooooooooh!”

“Stoi!”

The cat lashed out, clawing at the well-intentioned Russian as he tried to pull her from the Soho sewer. He grabbed the scruff of the neck, then she relaxed and went limp as if he were her mother carrying her.

Once in his arms, she settled and began to purr loudly, but Illya became filled with doubt.

He looked into her exotic eyes. “No, you are too pretty. I will not give you to Thrush,” he smiled, letting her go.

“Better to look for a nasty old Tomcat instead, enh?”

“Hisssssss.

“Ow!  Ingrate...”

Ah, Illya hunting cats in Soho. I remember it well, LOL. It seems that not every cat has an affinity for our Russian :-) Good one.

Nice tie-in to Bridge of Lions. One of my favorite episodes. Especially love the movie version.

Ingrate indeed. How could any cat not appreciate Illya's charms?
He's purrfect.
