First Post
It will soon be a year since I found SectionVII, so my first post is fairly recent. It was a Short Affair called The Signal.

First Story
I started writing my first MFU story in high school, and it expanded to sixteen chapters. I have posted the first few of them here as a WIP. Yes, it is technically a completed work, but the chapters all need heavy editing. It's amazing how our perspectives change over 25 years. The Deadly in My Fashion Affair Ch. 1.

Wow is it nearly a year already? So glad you found us! So this story may hold a record as being a WIP for 25 years? Am I saying that right?

Technically I finished it in college. I sent it to a fanzine at that time (can't remember which one) but she said she never got my submission. After that it just gathered dust until last November. I didn't imagine it would ever have an audience. When I started editing it though, l found so many changes that needed to be made. Twenty years sure changes your perspective on things. I edited and posted through chapter 7. I need to get working on the rest.

The right prompt at the right time. It just grabbed me. Some stories I fight for each word. That one flowed out in a few hours. And the lower word count meant less pressure. I love ShortFics. :)
