Though the Groundhog Day Challenge (Groundhog Day Challenge Guidelines) is still going on (you still have today, Friday and Saturday to post your stories for that), I wanted to post the guidelines for the next HODOWE challenge to give folks as much time as possible for writing.

CHALLENGE: Write an MFU fanfic story regarding the ideas embodied in Shrove Tuesday/Mardi Gras/Carnivale. The story doesn't have to necessarily mention or include the day by name; just embody a scenario that fits the concept behind it. Some general ideas in this regard: (1) a period of over-indulgence (can be in anything) before an expected period of deprivation (can represent a physical deprivation, or a more subtle expected mental or emotional deprivation), (2) a temporary release of restraints of any of the senses, or (3) forgetting the consequences and living in the moment.

STATISTICAL STUFF: Minimum of 500 words with no set maximum. Must fit into the overall concepts of this community, i.e., contain no explicit adult material and reflect the 1960s series in style and content.

POSTING: To this forum (and on fanfiction dot net), starting on February 19th and ending on February 25th.
