“I don’t suppose you have anything which could help us out of this,” Napoleon asked, indicating the locked door of the cell.

“Of course,” Illya replied. “We could use my shirt buttons, or the tip of my belt, or maybe even my tooth cap. But then again, there are the ends my shoe laces, the contents of my left heel, and the stitching on my handkerchief. Oh, and I also have my money clip and some fake breath mints.”

“I have to say, Tovarisch, I think you may just be carrying a little too much explosive material around with you.”

I do agree with Napoleon in the last line. Thrush won't be kidnapping him for his own sake, but to stock up on their explosives.

On that subject. Spikesgirl58 (using the pen name Uncle Charlie) has a series of wonderful stories called 'Working Stiffs'. They are told from the point of view of various members of UNCLE staff (as well as outsiders). One of them is about the very problem of Illya's exploding teeth. Thank you for the link. I read the story and it was terrific! I have been reading the "Working Stiffs" series for awhile, as well as some of her other stuff, but managed to miss this one. I have marked it as one of my favorites. So glad you are one of my friends on LJ. I don't know if you like Hogan's Heroes or not, but could you read my HH story on my LJ page and let me know what you think of it? Hugs!
