Thanks again to
injj for bringing our tree to life. This was an UNCLE Christmas ornament project from 2013

The twelve days of Christmas project.
Each day we'll be posting the UNCLE Christmas tree and we'd like
all the cousins to share a memory of Christmas' past as a comment,
and leave as a present under the tree.
There's nothing like our treasured memories, they're gifts
that will be with us always!
Let us smile with yours!

This is DAY 1 of the 12 days of Christmas!

Date: 2016-12-12 07:28 pm (UTC)I noticed on the floor, bits of broken ornaments. (back in the day when they were glass) I eventually found out that the tree had fallen down and my parents were up until 4 am fixing it, cleaning up the mess, setting up the gifts for me and my brothers.
The following year my parents got a fake tree, one of those aluminum ones to be precise. It was in a rotating stand that played music box Christmas music, and my dad put a couple of spotlights on it so it sparkled as it rotated. I think this was the year I figured out who was really Santa Claus...

Date: 2016-12-13 04:29 am (UTC)1) a seven-piece Revereware cookware set from my rl friends
I needed it2) a Crockpot slow cooker from a former caseworker
I use it quite a bit3) Tovarish's presence, especially during the time the boiler/furnace went out. As a s9meone who knows a cat-servant, you might be able to emphasize on how precious a little purring body can be when the rest of the world's going to hell
