Feb = Shrove Tuesday/Mardi Gras/Carnivale

Consider the possibilities of these cultural icons.  If you're still in the mood to write, the party is ready to follow you into the celebrations of Mardi Gras and Carnivale.  Travel to New Orleans for the American uber-party extraordinaire, or consider a trip down to Rio for the Southern Hemisphere's biggest non-stop celebration.
On the other side of the party map, Shrove Tuesday is more inclined towards the pious, in spite of being also known as Pancake Day.
