She came from a better family and was given a job working in the kitchens, to be trained as domestic.  The Communist party had control over the country, but the wives of the Commissars liked their servants, and preferred them being a better class.

Illya’s lot in life was to be doomed to that of a worker on a farm collective. When he came of age he would be sent off, just as Natasha would be.

They took comfort in each other’s company and soon they were holding hands, snuggling and kissing innocently.  

She was more knowledgeable is such ways.

HODOWE: May Day Story Challenge Guidelines

Though the Tax Day/Admin Pro Day challenge (Tax Day/Admin Pro Day Challenge Guidelines) is still going on (you have through Saturday, the 21st, to post your stories for that), I wanted to post the guidelines for the next HODOWE challenge to give folks as much time as possible for writing.

CHALLENGE: Write an MFU fanfic story regarding the ideas embodied in May Day. The story doesn't have to necessarily mention or include the day by name; just embody a scenario that fits the concept behind it. Some general ideas in that regard: (1) fecundity, which doesn't just mean of the body but also of the mind and spirit; (2) conversely May Day also embodies a celebration of innocent romantic love and courtly virtues; (3) in the former Soviet Union, May Day was a militaristic holiday supposedly embodying the triumph of the working class over the nobility, but becoming more closely associated with national pride regarding Soviet world-power achievements; and (4) the labor movement, wherein the working classes gained rights in the workplace.

STATISTICAL STUFF: Minimum of 500 words with no set maximum. Must fit into the overall concepts of this community, i.e., contain no explicit adult material and reflect the 1960s series in style and content.

POSTING: To this forum (and on fanfiction dot net), starting on April 29th and ending on May 5th.
