The Reading Room - A Collection of Firsts
Jan. 31st, 2014 09:55 amOver on fanfiction.net we have an MFU community that includes a forum and community for discussions and posting of stories. It isn't used as much now as when we first started it, which was partly in response to a series of interruptions here on LJ; it was the springboard to Section VII.
The Community site was intended as a launching pad of sorts where readers could find stories by members of the forum. We got as far as collecting some First Stories, although it is not a complete list of those who have participated.
Some of the stories you may have read, some may be new to you. I hope you'll take a look and see where some of us started this journey.

FINAL REMINDER -- Mood-Y: Challenge 1
Jan. 31st, 2014 11:01 am
This is a final reminder that the initial challenge in the Mood-Y series here on The guidelines for Mood-Y: Challenge 1 can be found here.
An anthem, a philosophy.. a song story. The lyrics by the late Pete Seeger influenced so many of today's great musicians like Dylan and Springsteen. Let the words inspire you to write a MFU fic. There's something here for just about any topic.
Posting begins today Friday the 31st and runs through Sunday, February 2nd. Stories should be a minimum of 500 words, no drabbles, and within the guidelines of Section VII, nothing graphic and appropriate for all readers.
