Time is flying isn't it? I'm hearing some children are already heading back to school.  Before we know it, Fall will be here as will be the 50th Anniversary for the Man from UNCLE.   I plan to have a special PicFic for the Anniversary, one in which you'll have a little more time to write than usual...given there's so many writing challenges coming due for the Anniversary Celebration.

So now, let's get to today's PicFic.  It's due Tuesday August 12th.  Just remember to follow all the statistical requirements listed below.

Statistical stuff: Minimum 500 words ( no drabbles please...we have A Little Drabble do Ya bi-weekly for those)
Subject matter: Should fit in to the the GENeral concepts of the community. ile. contains nothing explicit and reflect the 1960s series in style and content.  However, that being said, there is a 'Gen-Mature' tag option. Please use this tag to indicate a story that contains scenes of violence, torture, angst or mild het. (anything stronger than mild het should be posted in the "Map Room")   PLEASE ADD and appropriated warning at the beginning of your story.

Subject header: Please include in your Subject Header the phrase "For PicFic Tuesday Challenge" the due dat and of course the title of your story!

Tags: Remember to use the tag PicFic and Gen or Gen-Mature

Here's your new PicFic Prompt:
                                                                                AW Medal Award

Illya was kept in medical for five days while he recovered enough strength to allow him to be moved. It was testament to his subservient state of mind that he’d done everything that was asked of him without complaint. He was still unable to speak, though he constantly tried, with the encouragement of his partner. Frustration often got to him, but Napoleon always got him to calm down with a few games of chess, or by regaling him with outrageous tales of his latest female conquest. The senior agent could’ve believed Christmas had come early when he received a trademarked Kuryakin eye roll. It wasn’t much, but it was a spark.
